Asheville Visitor Center
The Asheville Visitor Center is open 7 days a week. It is conveniently located at 151
Haywood Street (exit 4-C off of I-240) near downtown Asheville. Visitor Center hours are
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The Visitor
Center is closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and
closes for half days on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Blue Ridge Parkway
Considered the nations most scenic highway, the 470-mile Blue Ridge Parkway winds
through the Blue Ridge Mountains, through Asheville and into the entrance of the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park. Numerous overlooks, roadside exhibits and hiking trails
make a trip along the Parkway a delight year-round. The Parkway intersects Asheville at US
